Dr. Pavithra H is a dedicated psychiatrist with over 7 years of experience, leading the Department of Psycho-Oncology at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre. With a strong foundation in adult psychiatry, onco-psychiatry, substance use disorders, palliative care, and grief counselling, she brings a holistic approach to cancer care. She completed her MBBS from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College and DPM from Father Muller Medical College. She ensures patients receive not just medical, but also emotional and psychological support throughout their journey. Her research includes publications on alcohol dependence and the socio-cultural barriers to seeking psychological support in oncology settings. She is committed to integrating psychosocial services in cancer care, helping patients and families heal beyond the physical diagnosis.
